The sale takes place over two days, May 6-7, with the first day reserved for the Olive Sprig Collection of Palestine. Perhaps the most comprehensive and advanced collection of Mandatory Palestine ever assembled, it is a near-complete collection of notes by prefix. Just three notes are missing (with one rarity represented by a specimen); these include two 50 Pound notes and a 100 Pound note. For collectors of the region, the British Empire, or iconic world notes, this is surely one of the most important offerings ever to come to public auction.
The next day, we continue with the rest of the sale. Further advanced cabinets include the Bay of Bengal Collection of Ceylon, the My Canh Collection of French Indochina, and the Tiber Collection of Italian Occupation Specimens. Each of the three collections could stand on its own as a highlight in any major sale. Taken together, it lifts this sale to the next level.
